Job Overview:
MAC Logistics is hiring an experienced Heavy Haul Driver to support our concrete and drilling operations, along with for-hire hauling.
This position involves transporting oversize and overweight equipment across multiple states. Work includes a mix of company hauling and external loads, providing consistent, year-round opportunities.
What You’ll Be Hauling:
- Drill rigs and heavy construction equipment
- Lowboy (RGN) trailer loads
- Telehandlers, payloaders, and support equipment
Responsibilities:
- Operate tractor + lowboy/RGN trailer for heavy haul transport
- Safely load, secure, and unload oversized equipment
- Work with dispatch on permits, routing, and load planning
- Follow approved routes and comply with oversize/overweight regulations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain communication with dispatch and field teams
Support Provided:
- Dispatch handles permits, routing, and load planning
- Loads and schedules are coordinated in advance
- Company equipment is maintained and ready for hauling
Requirements:
- 3+ years lowboy / heavy haul experience
- Experience hauling oversize/overweight loads (100,000+ lbs)
- Valid CDL Class A
- Strong understanding of:
- Load securement
- Axle weights and distribution
- Permits and routing
- Ability to operate or assist with loading heavy equipment
- Willing to run OTR and be out as needed
Preferred:
- Multi-state hauling experience
- Experience with RGN/lowboy detach trailers
- Familiarity with construction equipment
Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
