Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator/Truck Driver to join our construction team. This vital role combines the expertise of operating heavy machinery with professional commercial driving to ensure efficient and safe project execution. You will be responsible for operating a variety of construction equipment and trucks, contributing to the successful completion of construction projects. - Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and graders with precision and safety.
- Drive commercial trucks including dump trucks and other construction-related vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and personnel between sites.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections on all machinery and trucks to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Assist in construction site activities by performing tasks like grading, excavation, and backfilling as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during equipment operation and truck driving to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Maintain accurate daily logs of equipment usage, materials used and all invoices obtained each day
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate project timelines and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators , dozers, loaders (including Caterpillar models), backhoes, and graders.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting to perform minor repairs or identify issues promptly.
- Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and operational procedures in a busy environment.
- Knowledge of construction processes including grading and excavation
- Must be available M-F from 7 am – 7 pm
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety awareness. Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
