Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Hazmat Tanker Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. Duties

  • Safely operate tanker trucks carrying hazardous materials, adhering strictly to all safety protocols and traffic laws
  • Load and unload freight at various locations, utilizing equipment such as forklifts when necessary
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking the tanker’s integrity, gauges, and safety equipment
  • Follow designated routes efficiently while maintaining timely delivery schedules
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight details, and safety inspections in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel regarding delivery status and any issues encountered during transit
  • Ensure proper documentation for hazardous material shipments, including manifests and safety data sheets

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Proven experience operating tractor-trailers, especially with tanker trucks carrying hazardous materials (Hazmat endorsement preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of manual transmission trucks and route driving techniques
  • Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, roll-off trucks or other specialized freight equipment is a plus
  • Ability to load & unload freight using forklifts or other loading equipment safely and efficiently
  • Familiarity with safety procedures related to handling hazardous materials and compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations
  • Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, precision, and punctuality
  • Physical ability to perform vehicle inspections, load/unload cargo, and work in various weather conditions

Pay: $52,000.00 – $81,110.43 per year
