Position Overview
D.H.T. is actively hiring a CDL-A Gravel Train Driver for our Reese, Michigan location.
This is a local driving position focused on the safe and efficient transportation of gravel and aggregate materials between job sites. Drivers can expect home daily schedules, steady work, and consistent hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL-A gravel train to transport materials between designated locations
- Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules to support daily operations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery records, and inspection reports
- Communicate with dispatch and site personnel regarding delivery status and scheduling
- Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures
- Report mechanical issues, delays, or incidents promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL (required)
- Clean driving record and strong safety record
- Previous commercial driving experience preferred
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience hauling aggregate or construction materials
- Familiarity with Michigan routes and job site deliveries
