Freight Delivery & Logistics Team Member – Join the Dash Last Mile Team
Dash Delivery is looking for a high-energy, proactive Freight Delivery & Logistics Team Member to join our Dash Last Mile (Freight) operations in the Eugene/Springfield area. This is a critical, high-intensity role for a "go-getter" who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to excellence in logistics and safety.
At a Glance
- Compensation: $18.50 per hour.
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
- Location: Eugene/Springfield, OR.
- Core Focus: Driving large box trucks, Heavy freight delivery, and Warehouse organization.
Your Impact & Responsibilities
As a vital member of our freight team, you will report to the Freight Manager and be responsible for the end-to-end flow of heavy cargo. Your daily contributions will include:
- Logistics & Staging: Take ownership of the warehouse floor by pulling, labeling, and staging products for the next morning’s deliveries.
- Heavy Cargo Handling: Master the movement of "heavy hitters," including furniture, appliances, mattresses, and equipment.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse machinery, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and lift gates.
- Versatile Support: While primarily route based, you are willing to cover delivery drops or assist with freight runs when the team needs an extra hand.
Requirements & Physical Demands
We are looking for a reliable professional who can thrive with minimal instruction and maintains excellent communication with the team.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for 8–10 hours on concrete surfaces.
- Heavy Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs independently and participate in frequent team lifting for items exceeding 100 lbs.
- Safety Mindset: Strict adherence to safety protocols and proper lifting techniques is non-negotiable.
- Experience: Previous experience with warehouse logistics, smartphone apps for scanning, or commercial driving is a plus.
- Driving: You have had your drivers license for at least 5 years
