Top 3 Responsibilities
– Data Acquisition: Manual operation of an EV for up to 8 hours per day, strictly adhering to predetermined routes and structured collection protocols.
– System Health Monitoring: Comprehensive pre- and post-trip inspections of specialized onboard hardware (Cameras, LiDAR, and secondary sensors).
– Technical Triage: Basic field maintenance, including power-cycling systems, reseating data connectors, and ensuring all sensors remain clean and unobstructed.
Operational Compliance: Ensure data is logged correctly and uploaded according to project requirements. – Reporting: Reporting/ documentation of any system anomalies, hardware issues, or unique environmental observations.

Categorizing the talent pool into two classes:
1. Priority Focus: Tier 1 – Fleet Drivers
The Profile: Experienced professional drivers (AV experience is a plus, but not required).
Requirement: High focus on process discipline and safety while operating EVs for 8-hour shifts.
2. Secondary Focus: Tier 2 – Driver Technicians
The Profile: Drivers with a background in IT Support, Field Tech, or R&D support.
Laptop: not necessary, for most drivers. But for some, we may ask them to input data, track SSDs, light technical work. For those, we would provide a laptop. For all drivers, a phone will be needed so they can be contacted around issues
Technical Tasks: Powering hardware on/off, collecting/swapping SSDs, documenting drive disposition, and reseating cables. (Note: Terminal commands and sensor swaps are unlikely). Sourcing Strategy:
