Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver packages along designated routes with precision and care. Safety is not an option, it is a MUST.
- Load and unload shipments efficiently, handling heavy lifting and moving packages of various sizes and weights
- Provide outstanding customer service by ensuring timely deliveries, answering questions, and maintaining a professional demeanor at each stop
- Use route navigation tools to follow optimized delivery paths, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the day
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report any maintenance issues promptly, and adhere to all safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery records, obtain signatures when required, and/or proof of delivery documentation responsibly
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening (including marijuana), and DOT physical.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with courier roles preferred
- Proven delivery driver experience, especially with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, moving packages safely, including use of a handcart to perform heavy bulk deliveries
- Experience with route driving, load & unload procedures, and prior Fedex/Amazon experience is a plus.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to be flexible with scheduling which includes working weekends, and some holidays.
