Position: Exterior Forklift Operator for Steel Yard
Join a galvanizing facility as an Exterior Forklift Operator, responsible for safely moving and organizing steel materials. This hands-on role requires operating forklifts outdoors while adhering to safety standards.
The ideal candidate will operate forklifts and material handling equipment to manage raw and galvanized steel. You will load and unload materials from trucks, stage items for shipment, and ensure the cleanliness of the yard. Daily inspections of equipment along with communication with team members are key parts of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate forklifts to transport steel materials efficiently
• Load and unload steel from vehicles and staging areas
• Move finished products to designated storage locations
• Stage materials for shipping and receiving
• Maintain clean and organized yard areas
Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
