EDGE Contracting, Inc. is a well-established heavy civil contractor based in Golden, Colorado, specializing in underground utilities, drainage improvements, site development, excavation, and infrastructure projects throughout the Denver Metro Area. We are seeking an experienced Tandem Dump Truck Driver with Manual 13 or 18 speed transmission experience to join our field operations team and help deliver high-quality civil construction projects across the Front Range.

Position Summary
The Experienced Tandem Driver will safely operate a tandem axle dump truck to transport aggregates, soil, asphalt, pipe, and construction materials to and from job sites. The ideal candidate will have experience working in heavy civil construction environments and possess a strong commitment to safety, equipment care, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Tandem trucks, and other assigned vehicles.
- Haul aggregates, soil, riprap, asphalt, pipe, and construction materials to and from project sites.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required documentation.
- Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Coordinate material deliveries with Superintendents, Foremen, and project personnel.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Assist with site logistics, material tracking, and equipment mobilization.
- Support field crews during downtime between hauling assignments.
- Maintain clean and professional equipment appearance.
- Report maintenance issues and safety concerns promptly.
- Follow OSHA and company safety requirements at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required
· Must be able to Operate 13 or 18 speed transmission.
· Valid Colorado CDL Class A or B License.
· Current DOT Medical Card.
· Minimum 3 years of Tandem truck, side dump, or heavy haul driving experience.
· Clean driving record
· Experience operating in active construction environments.
· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
· Legally authorized to work in the United States.
· Must be able to pass company driving test.
Preferred
- Experience in heavy civil, utility, grading, or roadway construction.
- Lowboy, Side Dump, and Tandem hauling experience.
- Experience operating loaders, skid steers, or other support equipment.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Knowledge of Denver Metro and Front Range construction markets.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating commercial vehicles.
- Ability to climb in and out of trucks and trailers multiple times per day.
- Ability to perform vehicle inspections and minor maintenance tasks.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
