Experienced Sweeper Truck Driver/Operator (Full-Time Overnight Position) Jobs in East Patchogue at Hazel Services
Hazel Services is seeking an experienced Sweeper Truck Driver/Operator to join our growing Sweeping Division. This is a full-time overnight position responsible for servicing commercial shopping centers, retail properties, parking lots, and other client locations throughout Long Island.
Previous experience operating a parking lot sweeper truck is required. Applicants must also have prior experience working overnight shifts and be available to work weekends. This position is not suitable for applicants seeking daytime work or those without sweeper truck experience.

Position Responsibilities
- Safely operate a vacuum sweeper truck to clean parking lots, curb lines, sidewalks, dumpster enclosures, and other designated areas.
- Complete assigned routes efficiently while maintaining high-quality service standards.
- Remove litter, debris, and other materials from parking lot perimeters and common areas.
- Assist with the removal of stickers, decals, graffiti, and unauthorized signs when necessary.
- Replace trash receptacle liners and assist with maintaining a clean and professional appearance at client properties.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
- Clean and maintain the sweeper truck, including emptying the hopper and disposing of collected debris.
- Report mechanical issues, equipment damage, safety concerns, and property issues promptly.
- Use company-provided mobile applications and software to check in and out of locations, document completed work, and submit completion photos.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and communicate effectively with supervisors and management.
- Follow all company safety policies, vehicle operation procedures, and client-specific requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
- Previous experience operating a parking lot sweeper truck.
- Previous experience working overnight shifts.
- Availability to work weekends on a regular basis.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to safely operate commercial equipment and follow established routes.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including walking, standing, climbing in and out of equipment, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Working Conditions
- Primarily outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Exposure to dust, noise, and other environmental elements associated with outdoor maintenance work.
- Overnight and weekend work are mandatory.
- Physical work involving prolonged periods of driving, walking, standing, and equipment operation.

Pay: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour
