Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to manage loading and unloading tasks. Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and tankers.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and other equipment as necessary.
- Ensure the safe transportation of goods while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and cargo information.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules.
- Manage refrigerated trailers as required, ensuring proper temperature control during transport.
- Drive manual transmission vehicles when necessary.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required.
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers and dump trucks.
- Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures, including the use of forklifts.
- Ability to operate various types of trucks, including tanker vehicles.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Excellent navigation skills and the ability to plan efficient routes.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
