Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26-foot box truck for local and regional deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance standards are met.
- Load, secure, and verify shipments accurately to prevent damage during transit.
- Deliver goods promptly to customers’ locations while providing friendly and professional customer service.
- Navigate route driving efficiently, managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, pickups, and mileage logs for operational accuracy.
Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid driver’s license suitable for a box truck
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and moving equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Knowledge of route planning and route driving best practices for efficiency.
- Ability to operate heavy vehicles safely while maintaining focus on safety protocols.
Pay: From $600.00 per week
