Responsibilities
- Safely operate shuttle buses, box trucks, and other commercial vehicles along designated routes during evening hours
- Load and unload cargo or passengers efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure mechanical soundness and report any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers and team members to coordinate schedules and address any route changes or issues
- Assist with warehouse moving tasks or freight handling as needed using forklifts or pallet jacks
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a secure driving environment
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for shuttle driving or heavy vehicle operation
- Proven experience in commercial driving, shuttle driving, or delivery driver roles
- Mechanical knowledge of commercial vehicles including manual transmissions, dump trucks, flatbeds, or tanker trucks is a plus
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or heavy equipment such as forklifts or yard jockeys is preferred
- Strong communication skills to coordinate routes and report issues effectively
- Ability to load & unload cargo safely using appropriate equipment like forklifts or hand trucks
- Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety procedures for heavy haul or heavy equipment operation
