Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Equipment Operator and CDL Truck Driver to operate various types of heavy equipment and transport materials across construction sites and industrial locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with commercial driving, and familiarity with construction machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, graders and other construction heavy equipment. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials and equipment to support ongoing construction projects.
Duties
- Safely operate light duty commercial truck and trailer to haul equipment to various jobsites.
- Transport construction materials, equipment, and personnel to designated sites while adhering to safety regulations.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and paving equipment to assist with construction tasks.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on trucks and machinery to ensure proper functioning before use.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites by operating relevant heavy equipment like horizontal drills or paving machines.
- Maintain accurate logs of transportation activities and equipment usage.
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and transportation in construction environments.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving within the construction or heavy equipment industry.
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating mini excavators, loaders and equipment related to demo of existing concrete.
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation on construction sites.
- Prior work experience in construction environments involving excavation, grading, paving, or site development is highly desirable.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and transportation in construction settings. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
