Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Equipment Operator to join our dynamic Erosion control team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of heavy machinery and construction equipment to support infrastructure projects, site development, and material handling. Your expertise will help ensure that projects progress efficiently, safely, and on schedule. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, Skid Steer, backhoes, excavators, ditch witch, and other machinery to perform erosion work, , lifting, and material transport tasks.
- Safely handle construction vehicles including dump trucks, hydroseeder trucks to deliver materials and support site operations.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment before and after use to ensure safety standards are met and maintenance needs are identified.
- Follow all safety protocols and construction site procedures to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use efficiently across multiple project phases.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance records, and operational reports to support project documentation.
Experience
- Prior experience operating heavy construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and cranes is highly preferred.
- Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with site safety practices and operational procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving large vehicles such as dump trucks, water trucks, or tanker trucks is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience working with Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery brands is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
