Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team, whether full-time or part-time. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials across construction sites, ensuring efficient delivery and compliance with safety standards. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation and construction site experience will be vital in supporting various projects, from excavation to paving. This position offers an energetic work environment where your skills directly contribute to the successful completion of large-scale construction endeavors.
Duties
- Operate dump trucks and other heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dozers, and Caterpillar machinery to move materials efficiently on construction sites
- Safely load and unload materials including gravel, dirt, asphalt, and other construction supplies while adhering to safety protocols
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly
- Assist with site preparation activities such as horizontal drilling, tanker operations, or paving tasks as required
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, material quantities, and operational hours for project documentation
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment
- Collaborate with site supervisors and team members to coordinate transportation schedules and project timelines
Experience
- Proven experience operating dump trucks in a construction or heavy equipment setting
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and Caterpillar equipment
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety standards
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience with horizontal drilling, tanker operations, paving projects or other specialized construction tasks is a plus
- Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment
- Strong understanding of heavy equipment operation including grader operation and water truck handling
