Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Dump Truck Driver/Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks and various construction machinery to support excavation, grading, paving, and utility installation projects. Your expertise will help ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution on diverse construction sites. Duties
- Safely operate dump trucks, excavators, loaders, graders, water trucks, dozers, backhoes, and other heavy equipment in accordance with federal safety regulations and company policies
- Transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, and construction supplies to and from job sites with precision and timeliness
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Assist with excavation tasks, including site grading, utility trenching, horizontal drilling support, and utility locating to facilitate construction progress
- Support paving operations by managing material delivery and assisting with surface preparation activities
- Follow all safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and construction utility work to prevent accidents or injuries
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use and ensure smooth workflow across multiple project phases
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving and heavy equipment operation within a construction environment
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Mechanical knowledge of construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting techniques
- Skilled in loader operation, excavator handling, dozer use, backhoe operation, grader operation, water truck management, tanker driving, horizontal drilling support, and paving equipment handling
- Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on heavy machinery and identify mechanical issues early
- Construction site experience with an understanding of excavation processes, utility work, grading techniques, and site logistics
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and adhering to safety protocols
