We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport and deliver materials efficiently across various job sites. Duties
- Safely operate dump trucks, including those with manual transmissions, to transport construction materials, debris, or other freight to designated locations.
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring secure and balanced loads.
- Follow designated routes for delivery and pick-up, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers to coordinate schedules and resolve any logistical issues promptly.
- Assist with other truck-related tasks such as operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tanker trucks when required.
Experience
- Proven experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles in a commercial setting.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the truck type (e.g., tanker, flatbed).
- Demonstrated knowledge of manual transmission operation and vehicle safety protocols.
- Experience with route driving, load & unload procedures, and freight handling.
- Familiarity with equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks is a plus.
- Prior delivery driver experience in construction or freight industries preferred.
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks independently.
