We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various driving environments, including route driving and freight delivery. This role involves operating different types of trucks, including tankers and refrigerated trailers, to transport goods efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Operate trucks safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding routes, delays, or issues encountered during transport.
- Ensure that all cargo is secured properly before departure.
- Follow designated routes for timely delivery while being adaptable to changes as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.
- Experience with truck driving, particularly with tankers or refrigerated trailers, is preferred.
- Familiarity with load unloading procedures and freight handling.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet delivery schedules.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
- A clean driving record is essential; background checks may be conducted.
