Dump Truck Driver Jobs in Spokane, WA at Copenhaver Construction, Inc.
Copenhaver Construction, Inc. is seeking experienced and dependable Truck Drivers to support heavy civil and sitework operations. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of materials to and from job sites using various truck configurations, including multi-unit combinations. Drivers will play a key role in maintaining production flow while upholding the company’s commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism.

- Standard Dump Truck
- Truck & Pup Combinations
- Side Dump Trailers
- Lowboy (as needed for equipment hauling)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump truck combinations to haul rock, aggregate, soil, asphalt, and other materials
- Load, haul, and unload materials efficiently while maintaining compliance with weight and safety regulations
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure proper maintenance reporting
- Secure loads properly and ensure compliance with DOT and state regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, foremen, and jobsite crews
- Adjust driving and hauling practices based on weather, terrain, and jobsite conditions
- Follow designated haul routes and maintain accurate trip records when required
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures
- Participate in safety meetings and promptly report hazards, incidents, or near misses
- Maintain cleanliness of truck and represent the company professionally
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience operating dump trucks in a construction or heavy civil environment
- Experience with multiple configurations, including truck & pup, side dump, and/or similar combinations
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with acceptable driving record
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work long hours, including overtime, as project demands require
Preferred Qualifications
- HAZMAT endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- Experience hauling heavy equipment (lowboy)
- Familiarity with regional haul routes and jobsite environments
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and operate a vehicle for extended periods
- Ability to climb in and out of truck safely multiple times per day
- Ability to perform routine inspections and light maintenance tasks
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions

Pay: $28.00 – $38.00 per hour
