Responsibilities
- Assist the driver with loading and unloading packages, ensuring proper handling of goods including heavy lifting and moving items safely.
- Support route driving by helping to organize and secure cargo in box trucks or similar vehicles.
- Help navigate delivery routes efficiently, following planned schedules and directions.
- Load and unload deliveries at customer locations or warehouses using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies throughout all activities.
- Support the driver in completing delivery documentation accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
- Prior experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving or box trucks is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of packages regularly.
- Familiarity with route driving, load & unload procedures, and the use of equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive, professional attitude.
- Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is desirable but not mandatory.
