Job Title: Van Driver (Part Time)
Supervisor: Executive Director
Salary: Dependent on Qualifications
Status: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Evenings and weekends
Qualifications:
· Ability to operate a seven (7) passenger and twelve (12) passenger transit van.
· Valid Minnesota Driver’s License.
· Valid Minnesota automobile insurance.
· No driving citations in the past seven (7) years.
· The ability to work with a varied ethnic group.
· Must be able to pass background check by DHS and a national background check.
· Must be able to pass drug screen.
· If applicant has a history substance abuse history, he/she must be in compliance with DHS regulations. Two years of confirmed abstinence from all mood altering substances.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Transport clients to various appointments and community events. (Only clients of JFRS are allowed to ride in the vans.)
· Operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner and always maintain a respectful demeanor.
· Maintain and Enforce van rules. Smoking is not allowed in the vans. Food, beverages (coffee/soda), gum, and candy are not allowed. Water is the only beverage allowed.
· If transporting clients to an outside meeting, please wait for the clients in another area. Staff is not allowed to attend meetings with clients.
· Plan the most efficient route service for participants.
· Keep the assigned vehicles clean inside and out.
· Coordinate the schedule for vehicle maintenance with Supervisor to minimize service interruptions.
· Maintain accurate up-to-date record of trips, vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incident and accident reports, vehicle condition reports and other records as requested by management.
· Pick up supplies as needed.
· When not driving other duties will be assigned by the Executive Director.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Van Driver: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver’s License (Required)
