Box Truck Delivery Driver
Immediate job openings for dependable Class C Licensed Drivers to operate a Box Truck safely and efficiently. Some routes will require layovers of up to 2 days. Company will set up hotel stay.
Responsibilities include:
· As a driver, you are responsible for providing timely delivery of product and exceptional customer service to our clients. You understand that as a delivery driver, you are the face of our company to our customers.
- Meet delivery schedules in a safe and timely manner.
- Be reliable to work as scheduled and as business needs arise. Some routes require layovers.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions.
- Report defects, all accidents and/or violations.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· At least 1 years’ experience driving a straight truck (Box truck)
· Must be 21 years or older
· Must have clean driving record, MVR will be checked
· Must be able to pass drug screen
· Must be available to work Monday thru Saturday
· Must be able to meet physical requirements for handling product including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds to shoulder height or above
· Able to operate an electric and manual pallet jack
· Must be honest and dependable
· Must be able to deal with customers in a positive, courteous, and respectful manner
· Knowledge of the Houston area is helpful
· Must demonstrate sound work ethics
· Reefer or Produce experience is a plus
· Must be insurable under our commercial auto policy
Physical Demands:
- Be able to properly lift, push or move product weighing an average of 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, squat, proper lifting, turn the body, walk
- May encounter varying weather conditions
