𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲
A fast-growing autonomous vehicle company is building its San Francisco data-collection team, and you'd be one of the first drivers in the door. You'll drive an instrumented company vehicle on set city routes while its sensors and cameras capture real-world driving data that trains and improves self-driving technology. You're driving the whole time. It is not driving itself. No passengers, no packages, no app pinging you every 30 seconds.
𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲
• Ground floor of a brand-new program at a well-funded robotics and AV company

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘆
• Start of shift: quick vehicle inspection, start up the data-collection software
• On the road, up to 6 hours: drive set routes, follow every traffic law, flag anything unusual
• End of shift: write up what you saw, sync with the engineers, help stage the vehicle
𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲
You'll start on a daytime 9 AM to 5 PM schedule. As the team grows, you'll move to either an AM shift (6 AM to 2 PM) or a PM shift (2 PM to 10 PM). Full-time hours, no overtime.
𝗣𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀
• $24-$30 per hour, based on experience (prior AV experience earns the high end)

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱
• A valid U.S. driver's license held for at least 5 years
• A clean driving record: no more than 1 violation point, no moving violations in the last 12 months, no DUIs
• Comfortable driving and staying focused for up to 6 hours a shift
• Able to pass a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle report (MVR)
• Strong attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication
• Able to work fully on-site in San Francisco
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship)
Helpful, not required: experience as an AV operator, safety driver, or test driver, and comfort with basic software or command-line tools.
