Driver AS160

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivilant
• Valid NJ Commercial Drivers License (CDL) in good standing, Class B

Work Hours: As Assigned Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, transfer, move, assist participants (minimum of 40 pounds).
• Ability to maneuver and tie down wheelchairs.
• May be required to provide direct support services inside a CPL facility or as assigned in a community setting.

Overall Description:

• To safely transport all Participants, as assigned, in accordance with all CPL policies and DMV regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and safeguard each family/participant’s right to privacy, respect and confidentiality.
• Ensure vehicle is in safe running order at all times.
• Comply with all protocols as stated in the CPL Transportation Handbook.
• Ensure safe pickup and drop-off of each participant.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
• Accurately maintain mileage logs of the assigned vehicle.
• Oversee the Driver Assistant to the assure safety and proper care of all assigned participants.
• Assist participants in program areas as directed.
