We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently and on time. Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Plan and follow optimized delivery routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely arrivals and efficient fuel usage.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before operating the vehicle
- Comply with all safety protocols related to hazardous materials regulations and secure cargo properly during transit
- Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate deliveries, pickups, and route adjustments as needed
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for the type of vehicle operated (e.g., tanker, flatbed)
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations
- Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures and load/unload processes
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service
