Duties
- Safely operate a variety of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Follow planned routes diligently while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for all shipments
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or any issues encountered during transit
- Assist with securing loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transport
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for different truck types (manual transmission experience preferred)
- Proven experience as a delivery or truck driver, especially with freight transportation involving flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, or dump trucks
- Skilled in driving tractor-trailers and handling various cargo loads including freight requiring special handling such as roll-off or tanker loads
- Ability to operate forklifts and other loading equipment safely when needed
- Strong knowledge of route planning and driving regulations across different jurisdictions
- Excellent physical stamina for load & unload tasks and long hours on the road
- Clear driving record with a focus on safety and compliance

Pay: $26.06 – $31.38 per hour
