RDI is headquartered in Arizona and works throughout New Mexico. We maintain a vehicle and equipment fleet that remain in NM. RDI is search of a dependable and skilled diesel and gas mechanic for Milan, Ramah, and Pinehill, NM. Hourly rates listed are starting only and depend on experience and skill.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and industrial equipment

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues

• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment

• Repair and replace faulty parts and components

• Fabricate and weld as needed

• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed

• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Good driving record

• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude

• Experience working with diesel engines and industrial equipment, minimum 2 years

• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment

• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work performed

• Travel to job sites and yards within the state of NM

Skills:

• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing diesel and gas engines

• Ability to assemble, disassemble, and rebuild engine components

• Knowledge of tire service, including mounting, balancing, and repair

• Familiarity with electrical systems and wiring diagrams

• Experience operating heavy machinery or cranes is a plus
