Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company or approved personal vehicles while making deliveries.
- Load and unload bakery products.
- Deliver products accurately and on schedule.
- Collect and maintain delivery records.
- Maintain positive customer relationships.
- Follow all Company policies and procedures.
- Report accidents, injuries, damaged products, or customer complaints immediately.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts
- Support delivery drivers with route planning, load securing, and timely deliveries using box trucks or personal vehicles
- Ensure adherence to traffic regulations and safety protocols during all driving activities, including commercial truck driving and delivery driving
- Conduct safe lifting practices when handling heavy or bulky items, following DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and workplace weight handling standards
- Operate mobile devices for route navigation, delivery documentation, and communication with team members
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and warehouse inventory movements
- Support warehouse operations by organizing stock, managing manual handling tasks, and ensuring proper storage procedures are followed
Experience
- HAVE A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE
- Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is highly desirable
- Proven experience in delivery driving or courier services, particularly with box trucks or personal vehicles
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving is a plus
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely
- Experience with manual handling, moving heavy loads, and using material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively during deliveries
- Comfortable working with mobile devices for route management and documentation
