- Navigation skills to read a map, locate addresses within the designated delivery area and navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings
General
Job Duties
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily
Communication Skills
- Comprehend and give correct written instructions
- Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person
Essential Functions/Skills
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid and accurate movements with speed
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
Work Conditions
- Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks
- In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F and above in some areas
- Sudden changes in temperature in work area and while outside
- Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler
- Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher
Sensing
- Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks
Qualifications:
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces
- The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions
Physical Requirements including, but not limited to the following:
- Driving: Deliver pizzas within designated delivery area; may make several deliveries per shift.
- Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position.
- Walking: For short distances and short durations.
- Lifting: Bulk product deliveries are made twice a week or more; using a hand truck; cases may weigh up to 50 pounds with dimensions up to 3′ x 1.5′. Cases are usually lifted from floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72″ high.
- Carrying: Large cans (~3 lbs 7 oz) carried from workstation to storage; occasionally pizza sauce weighing 30 lbs carried from storage to front; trays of dough carried three at a time over short distances, weighing approximately 12 lbs per tray.
- Pushing: Move trays on dollies; stack of trays on a dolly approximately 24–30; requires force up to 7.5 lbs to push; trays may also be pulled.
- Climbing: Infrequently navigate stairs or climb ladder for maintenance.
- Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at waist necessary at pizza assembly station; duration ~30–45 sec at a time, repeated; also at front counter and when stocking ingredients.
- Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
- Reaching: Continuously up, down and forward.
- Hand Tasks: Eye‑hand coordination essential; use of hands continuous; shaping dough requires frequent and forceful forearm and wrist use.
