Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate Jobs in Seattle, WA at Hudson Bay Insulation
Hudson Bay Insulation, a mechanical insulation contractor, is currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate.
Primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Delivering and unloading multiple orders to numerous job sites in the Puget Sound area in a safe, timely, and accurate manner. Which includes the ability to proficiently perform the following in a large box truck at least 26’ in length and 13’1” in height (CDL is not required):
- Driving on the freeway
- Driving within congested city streets
- Driving to remote areas
- Driving into and around constructions sites
- Ability to back the truck up safely
- Ability to park in various positions, angles, etc.
- Performing daily pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections (checking fluids, brakes, lights, and tires); reporting any problems or issues to supervisor
- Fueling the truck as needed
- Stopping at weigh stations as required per law
- Pulling materials from warehouse inventory for job orders
- Checking order accuracy prior to delivery
- Loading and unloading materials from supplying vendors
- Picking up orders from vendors and making returns directly to vendors as needed
- Assisting in counting of physical inventory
Ideal candidates must have:
- A valid driver’s license and a clear motor vehicle record (driving record)
- One or more year(s) of experience driving large box trucks at least 26’ in length and 13’1” in height
- Knowledge of the greater Portland/Vancouver area
- Ability to drive a large box truck in a congested city as well as heavy freeway traffic
- The ability to lift 50+ lbs
- The ability to operate power and manual lift equipment like forklifts, lift-gates, hand trucks, pallet jacks and push carts
- Excellent customer service skills
- Functional knowledge of mechanical insulation materials a plus
Position Type
- On-site, full time, non-exempt, safety-sensitive, hourly position: Monday – Friday, 6am to 2:30pm (Occasional overtime and weekend shifts)
Compensation Package
- Base pay range: $25 – $28 an hour (placement within the range is based on experience and qualifications)
