Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, route management, and efficient handling of deliveries using commercial vehicles such as box trucks. Prior delivery driver experience and familiarity with warehouse operations are highly valued.
Duties
- Safely operate a box truck or similar commercial vehicle to deliver products to customers and clients across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety protocols
- Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients upon delivery and addressing any concerns or questions
- Assist with warehouse tasks including moving inventory, organizing stock, and maintaining a clean work environment
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and documentation as required
Experience
- Proven delivery driver experience, preferably with route driving in a courier or logistics setting
- Experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle with manual transmission
- Warehouse experience including the use of forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly and perform physical tasks such as moving inventory or cargo
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques, safety procedures, and transportation regulations is desirable
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics will be advantageous for efficiency in loading/unloading processes
Pay: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour
