Duties
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and courier vans, following all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Load, unload, and organize delivery orders efficiently using equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary
- Deliver orders promptly to customers’ locations, ensuring accuracy and quality of each delivery
- Provide friendly, professional customer service by greeting customers courteously and addressing any questions or concerns during delivery
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route records, and documentation of deliveries made throughout your shift
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management or moving stock when not on delivery routes
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues to ensure safe operation at all times
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred
- Prior delivery driver experience or similar roles involving route driving and heavy lifting
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and familiarity with box trucks or similar cargo vehicles
- Experience handling heavy loads, moving items safely using equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Knowledge of local routes and navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency
- Physical ability to lift heavy boxes repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks safely
