WPL is a successful logistics company serving the Rocky Mountains. We are looking for Independent Delivery Service Partners (contract drivers) in the Missoula area!
Delivery Service Partners play a crucial role in ensuring customers receive their packages on time. If you own or lease a delivery vehicle—such as a truck or minivan—and are interested in working as a contractor handling final-mile deliveries, we’d love to hear from you.
This is a 1099 position (self-employed)
Pay: From $200.00 / day depending on service(s) provided
REQUIREMENTS:
Must provide:
- Must provide a delivery vehicle, Fuel, Cell Phone
- Must have proper insurance for vehicle and Workers Compensation (or a waiver issued by the State of MT)
- Driver Load/Unload
- Lifting freight in and out of vehicle
- Includes lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and placing freight
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and up to 150 lbs. with right equipment
- Distributing packages for institutions, business, and government agencies
- Maintain route expectations and standards
- Communication with customers, dispatch, and management as needed to perform services
- Ability to drive in inclement weather
Services Provided:
- Driver Load/Unload
- Distribute packages for institutions, business, and government agencies
- Lift freight in and out of vehicle for deliveries
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and placing freight for delivery (up to 50 lbs)
- Maintain route / delivery expectations and standards
- Communicate with customers, dispatch, and management as needed to perform services
Contract Experience:
- Prior Contract Delivery Driving Experience – 1 year preferred
- Ability to understand and meet strict deadlines
- Being reliable, dependable, and trustworthy
- Detail oriented with a strong customer service focus
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude while representing clients
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency related to service provided
- Must pass client-required background check and drug screening
- Committed to safety and compliance standards for motoring public
- Own and maintain reliable transportation and necessary equipment
