Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods along assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Manage delivery schedules efficiently, ensuring timely arrivals and pickups at multiple customer locations
- Communicate clearly with customers to confirm deliveries, answer questions, and provide exceptional service
- Handle heavy lifting of merchandise and packages with proper technique to prevent injury
- Use organizational skills to plan optimal routes, maximize efficiency, and reduce delivery times
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and route documentation for reporting purposes
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery roles preferred; a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is essential
- Starting salary depends upon driving and delivery experience type
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Demonstrated ability in sales or upselling techniques to promote products confidently
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and start and stop driving
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
