Duties
- Safely operate various vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety protocols
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery schedules
- Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper lifting practices, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Deliver products directly to customers’ locations, ensuring accuracy and professionalism in client communication
- Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, route logs, and client interactions for organizational purposes
- Build positive relationships with clients through friendly communication, addressing questions or concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or heavy vehicle operation; retail store experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of safe lifting practices and automobile transportation procedures
- Basic math skills for pricing calculations, inventory management, and transaction processing
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and commercial truck driving standards
- Prior experience in sales or upselling techniques is advantageous
- Organizational skills to manage routes, schedules, and documentation accurately
- Military background or experience demonstrating discipline and reliability is a plus
