Duties
- Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles to deliver goods across designated routes
- Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations to ensure compliance and safety during transportation
- Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records while adhering to organizational procedures
- Communicate effectively with clients to confirm delivery details, address questions, and build positive relationships
- Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales goals
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, route driving, or military transportation preferred
- Strong math skills for accurate pricing calculations and route planning
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices required
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safety protocols consistently
- Retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product placement and presentation
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage schedules, deliveries, and documentation efficiently
