Duties
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and courier vans, following all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Load, unload, and organize packages using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary
- Plan efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals while optimizing fuel and time resources
- Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns
- Load and secure packages properly to prevent damage during transit, utilizing manual lifting techniques for heavy items
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection reports throughout your shift
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, stock movement, and preparing shipments for delivery
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles; familiarity with manual transmission is a plus.
- Previous experience in delivery driving or route driving is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading goods.
- Forklift certification is a nice-to-have but not required; training may be provided.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations is beneficial.
Skills
- Proven experience in delivery driving or courier services with a strong understanding of route planning and driving safety
- Customer service skills that foster positive interactions with clients and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of packages safely and efficiently
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar tools is a plus
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations, including licensing requirements for <PERSON> drivers or equivalent certifications
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and load/unload procedures in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries while maintaining attention to detail
