Responsibilities
- Safely operate different types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles.
- Load and unload freight efficiently and securely, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety standards.
- Drive assigned routes confidently, maintaining schedules and delivering goods promptly to various destinations.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues during transit.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle types operated.
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver experience with route driving responsibilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling.
- Strong physical stamina for long hours on the road and manual tasks involved in loading/unloading cargo.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients effectively.
