About the Role
This isn't your average driving job.
As a Contiki Trip Driver, you're the engine behind some of the best travel experiences young people will ever have. You'll move our 18–35 travellers through the length and breadth of Aotearoa from rugged coastlines to alpine passes and play a crucial part in making every trip one they'll talk about for years.
Our Trip Drivers come from all walks of life, but they share a few things in common: they're passionate, professional, and genuinely love being around people. If that sounds like you, this could be one of the most rewarding gigs of your life.
Full in-depth training is provided — you don't need prior coach driving experience to apply.
What You'll Bring
- A genuine passion for New Zealand and the people who come to explore it
- The ability to work away from home for extended periods, particularly during our peak summer season (December–February)
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- A calm, mature and professional manner — you'll be working with travellers from all over the globe, each with different languages, cultures and expectations
- The ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team (you'll work closely with Trip Managers, local guides, suppliers and our Operations team)
- A love of a challenge and a positive attitude when situations don't go to plan
- Pride in your work and a genuine drive to be the best at what you do
- An unwavering commitment to safety
Requirements
- NZ citizen or resident holding a valid work visa
- Clean driving record and strong references
- Hold a Class 4 licence and P Endorsement (a Passenger endorsement is required to drive our coaches — if you don't have one yet, that's okay at application stage)
- No Class 4 yet? We'll consider applicants who have held a Class 2 licence for 6+ months and can obtain a Class 4 and P Endorsement quickly
What Happens Next
Successful applicants will be invited to complete a Contiki New Zealand Training Trip. A permanent offer is made upon completing training to the standard set by our Trainer and Management team.
