Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks.
- Deliver goods to various locations with a focus on timeliness and accuracy, managing route driving with precision
- Handle specialized concrete equipment including laser screed machines.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage logs, inspection reports, and load documentation
- Communicate effectively with supervisor regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or any issues encountered during trips
Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
- Proven 5-years experience as a commercial truck driver with a strong background in truck driving and freight delivery
- Minimum age requirement for this job- applicants must be over the age of 25 years.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle types operated (e.g., tanker, refrigerated trailer)
- Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently
- Experience driving tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks preferred
- Ability to load & unload freight using forklifts or other equipment when necessary
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo handling
- Excellent route planning skills with an emphasis on punctuality and customer satisfaction
