- Safely operate commercial vehicles accordance with all traffic laws and transportation safety regulations
- Follow emergency response procedures for transportation incidents and respond quickly to traffic changes or road hazards
- Maintain accurate logs of trips
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and mechanical checks to ensure optimal operation and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with passengers, addressing their needs, and ensuring a positive travel experience
Skills
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for bus driving and passenger transport
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations
- Proficiency in defensive driving techniques and emergency stop procedures
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities
- Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance awareness
- Ability to respond quickly to traffic changes while maintaining focus on passenger safety
