Join our fast growing team as a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Driver and take charge of delivering essential materials and equipment with energy and precision! In this vital role, you will operate dump trucks and low boy ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods. Your mechanical knowledge and driving expertise will be key to maintaining smooth operations.
Duties
- Safely operate a range of trucks like dump trucks and low boy to transport materials and equipment efficiently.
- Load and unload cargo with precision, utilizing mechanical skills and equipment handling expertise.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; perform basic maintenance checks as needed.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks when necessary, utilizing proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery schedules for smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating heavy trucks such as dump trucks, flatbeds, or tractor-trailers.
- Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery operations; familiarity with delivery driver responsibilities is preferred.
- Ability to operate manual transmission and automatic vehicles confidently and safely.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and road safety regulations.
