Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks and heavy-duty vehicles to transport goods efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in driving, vehicle maintenance, and load handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of trucks including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques, ensuring proper handling of heavy or bulky items
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, mechanical condition, and compliance with regulations
- Perform heavy lifting tasks when necessary to assist with loading or unloading cargo
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for each trip, including delivery receipts and inspection reports
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with delivery or transportation background
- Mechanical knowledge of trucks such as front loaders, rear loaders, roll-offs, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers
- Ability to handle manual transmissions and operate specialized equipment safely
- Experience with heavy lifting tasks related to cargo handling and load securing
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record and knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
