Our services include, but are not limited to, warehouse services for customers in various industries, primarily in the Aiken County area focusing on getting the job done. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our logistics team. where you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across designated routes, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety protocols.
- Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of cargo.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, optimizing delivery schedules and ensuring timely arrivals.
- Handle logistics cargo with precision, including hazardous materials and dangerous goods, following all relevant hazardous materials regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, inspections, and deliveries in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Collaborate with dispatch teams to coordinate route driving plans and communicate any delays or issues promptly.
Experience
- We prefer one year of experience.
- Ability to operate trucks with manual transmission and handle various trailer types.
- Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations.
- Experience in load & unload procedures, freight handling, and securing cargo safely on different trailer types.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for efficient route planning and execution.
- Prior experience working with dangerous goods or hazardous materials is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety standards for truck driving and logistics cargo handling.
