Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. You will be driving a road tractor with dump trailer or lowboy moving equipment or a dump truck. In this role, you will be responsible for operating tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks to deliver freight efficiently and securely across designated routes. Your expertise in truck driving, load & unload procedures, and adherence to safety standards will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest level of professionalism. Duties
- Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across local, regional, or long-haul routes, ensuring safe and compliant driving practices
- Load and unload freight using forklifts, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, or other equipment as needed, following proper safety protocols
- Transport refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized equipment to various destinations while maintaining cargo integrity
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations
- Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit and perform routine checks during trips
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues promptly
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and experience operating tractor-trailers with manual transmissions
- Proven truck driving experience, including route driving and delivery of freight across different trailer types such as refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, or dump trucks
- Ability to load & unload freight independently or with assistance using forklifts or other equipment
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving, cargo securement, and vehicle maintenance
- Experience with specialized trucks like roll-off trucks or tanker trucks is a plus
- Strong physical stamina for handling freight loads and performing inspections in various environments
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatch teams and customers
