Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in various types of trucks and cargo handling will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across local, regional, or long-haul routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Load, secure, and unload freight including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, hazardous materials, and dangerous goods using manual handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and route planning
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Load & unload cargo accurately while ensuring proper handling of freight, including refrigerated goods and hazardous materials in accordance with safety standards
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, deliveries, inspections, and incidents in compliance with DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate pickups and deliveries while providing excellent customer service
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols
- Skilled in operating various truck types including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and refrigerated trailers
- Proficient in route driving using GPS navigation systems for efficient delivery planning
- Ability to handle freight manually including load & unload procedures for different cargo types such as freight on flatbeds or tankers
- Experience with logistics cargo handling and transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials safely
- Familiarity with truck maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting to ensure vehicle safety during trips

Pay: $27.00 – $32.00 per hour
