Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dairy transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to deliver dairy efficiently to designated plants. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries, proper load handling, and adherence to safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across various routes, including local and regional deliveries
- Transport tankers
- Manage route driving responsibilities with precision, adhering to schedules and traffic laws
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips, performing routine maintenance checks and reporting any issues promptly
- Document delivery activities accurately, including mileage logs, delivery receipts, and incident reports
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL A license and familiarity with manual transmission vehicles
- Knowledge of transporting tankers is not required but an added bonus
- Strong understanding of load & unload procedures and safety protocols during transportation
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, route planning, and efficient delivery execution
- Familiarity with trucking regulations and compliance requirements for commercial driving
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with dispatchers, customers, and team members
