Requirements:
1. Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL):
· Must hold a valid Class A CDL issued by your state of residence
· No suspensions or revocations in the past 24 months
2. TWIC Card (Preferred):
· A valid TWIC card issued by the TSA is preferred but not required
· Drivers without a TWIC will still be considered
3. Driving Record:
· Submit a current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR); applicants must create a DMV account, download, and submit the report to the POC
· No at-fault accidents within the last 24 months
· No major violations (DUI, reckless driving, hit-and-run) within the past 36 months
· No more than two minor moving violations in the last 24 months
4. Experience:
· 12 to 18 months of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience required
· Experience with ports or container operations is a plus
5. Physical Requirements:
· Must pass a DOT physical exam
· Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
· Must be able to sit for extended periods and operate a vehicle safely
6. Background Check:
· No felony convictions within the past 7 years
7. Drug & Alcohol Screening:
· Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
· Subject to random testing as required by DOT and company policy
· SAP program participants will be considered
8. References & Employment History:
· Provide two professional references, preferably from previous supervisors
· Submit a complete 10-year employment history
· References must confirm driving experience
9. Port Security Awareness:
· Familiarity with port security protocols and procedures is beneficial
· Knowledge of hazardous materials handling is a plus
10. Availability:
· Flexible availability required, including nights, weekends, and varying weather conditions
11. Interview:
· Must complete an in-person or virtual interview
· Demonstrate strong understanding of safe driving and port procedures
12. Orientation & Training:
· Complete company orientation and required training sessions
· Comply with all company and DOT regulations
