Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in manual transmission, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other equipment will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, ensuring compliance with all federal and state transportation regulations
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and safety
- Drive route-specific trucks including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and freight carriers to deliver goods promptly
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and incident reports throughout each shift
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise during transit
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including proper securing of loads and safe driving practices on all roadways
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record demonstrating safe driving habits
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery route driving and load & unload operations
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission trucks and various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks
- Ability to handle specialized equipment like forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading freight
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers
- Physical ability to perform load securing tasks and vehicle inspections as required
